Snack Time!

Being on a strict clean eating diet can become mundane after a while. Especially when you are craving something sweet. I tend to crave sweets a lot. You know, when I'm feeling stressed, sad, angry or happy. Okay, so, pretty much all the time. What can I say? I have a sweet tooth! I can admit it, I LOVE sweets. However much I love to eat sweets and how great they taste going in my body, I definitely do not appreciate what they do to my scale the next morning.

The other day when my love and I were craving something sweet (yet again) I remembered something I had seen on Pinterest a while back and decided to come up with my own version of it. Of course I didn't pin the recipe and couldn't find it for the life of me so I couldn't follow the original.  But I have to say, my version came out pretty great!

 I am not totally sure what to call this yet. Does anyone have any ideas? The name I came up with is Sweet Peanut Butter Banana Rice Cake Thingy but it seems a bit long and the word thingy shouldn't be in it. Probably.


2 whole grain rice cakes
natural peanut butter (I used creamy)
1 banana
raw honey (pure maple syrup would be delicious too)

1. I didn't measure anything out so just do it how you like it best. However, I do advise against pouring the entire jar of honey on the rice cake. No matter how tasty that may be I wouldn't want sticky honey pouring down my arm, also,as an after thought, moderation is best. Anyways, all you have to do is smear some peanut butter over the rice cake, add the banana slices on top and DRIZZLE with honey. 

2. Voila! A healthy snack to fill your sweet tooth craving. It did work at the time but I'd kill for a Dairy Queen Oreo Blizzard right about now.
