It's been a crazy few days!

The last few days have been really crazy! My mom, brother and my mom's boyfriend came to visit us from MA. They wanted to see us before our big move to Korea. We had a great time! they left today and we are all exhausted from being out and doing so many things. Last Sunday we went to Busch Gardens. It was my first time going to the one in VA. It was really nice and Christian (my son) had so much fun! He loves to people watch and he loved running around the kids water park.

On Monday we went to the Shirley Plantation in VA. It was VA very first plantation! It was really fun going. Christian did great during our guided tour of the main house. There was so much history there. When the women who lived at the plantation got engaged they would carve their names into the glass of the windows to make sure that the ring was a real diamond. They would also date them. There was one signature from the 1600s! I think it would have been so neat to attend a ball or gathering during that time. The dresses were beautiful and courting (dating) was much more platonic and romantic. I don't know about you but i don't really care to go see a movie and have teenagers sitting in front of me all over each other. Teenage girls seem not to have much respect for themselves now a days. And if a girl does not respect herself you can pretty much guarantee that no man will either. We also explored the grounds of the plantation. Christian had a blast walking around and checking things out. He pet a goat and walked up to some chickens. If you ever have the chance to go to VA you should try and stop at the plantation. It was worth it and wasn't very expensive.

On Tuesday after a year of training my hubby finally graduated AIT! I was so proud of him! He looked very handsome in his ASUS. He also made honor grad which means he was super smart in his class. He received a  pretty neat coin signifying he was an honor graduate. When he walked up on stage to accept it, Christian kept yelling Dada. It was really cute. It was a long year of basic and AIT I am very relieved that it is finally over. I felt like it would never end!

Colin graduating!
After graduation we went to the Quarter Master Museum on base at Fort Lee. It was pretty interesting. All the museums on base are free which is even better!

As you can see we had a fun filled few days! On Friday my best friend and her husband will be visiting! I am sure I will have a lot more to update after that!

I hope everyone has a great day!
